Passport to Italy

So, I've kind of made up my mind that if I can get the loans from VSAC or Sally Mae I am going to go on one of the school trips in February The trip includes stops in Switzerland, Italy, and France. Honestly when is the next chance I will get to do all of that for under 4 grand and getting college credits in the process, the answer is never. Now before you start in about how I'm getting married and need the money I'll inform you that I asked Nick on his opinion and he said to go for it. He also agrees that I won't get this chance again and wishes he could go too. So now the next step is GET THE FUNDING so its off to apply for more loans. to pay back later. I hope to let you kow if I'm going or not soon!

Data Critique

Okay So another Homework assignment... I promise I'll post something interesting in the morning...
Anyway this week I had to critique a webpage that uses data in some sort of visualized manner.

Here is the link I chose
http://www.governing.com/gov-data/education-data/state-education-spending-per-pupil-data.html

This site takes all sorts of government data and puts them into all sorts of useful charts. These charts start off with the entire countries data but you can narrow it down to a specific state if need be. Which is a helpful feature. The only downfall I see is that the charts can be a little hard to read because there is so much information in them. If they were a little more people friendly they would be great.

I also don't think this information could be brought to us any better way because data is hard to put in someones lap without a visual. Though it may work as a podcast these things are easier to be shown than to listen to.

An Interview

So, to any of my LSC friends who know who the on campus bad Six Feet to Heaven is stay tuned because Thursday I'll be posting an interview I did with them in practice. I'll be asking the typical questions about how they came together but I want to know what you have to ask them. Give me your questions in the comments and we'll see what we can find out from the people who make the sound that is growing a following, and when we can expect to be able to see their first live show of the year.

Wish Me Luck

Well, Wish me luck... My First Night poster is due to the client on Thursday. I have just a few things left to tweak before final printing and matting and then its off. I honestly don't think I have any hope of being the one chosen but I am proud of what I did even if it doesn't.

In wedding news I have started working on the invites. No you cannot see them until they get sent out in the mail. I will divulge they are cutsey sweet and not formal in the least bit... Kinda like us. but anyway back to work. For anyone who wants to read it I will probably be posting homework soon.

Until next week.

What's going on Now?

So, I know I just posted homework but I wanted to let you know what was going on with me. Well yesterday my engagement was announced at church and that seemed to go over pretty well. I think... Anyway, after church commenced photos. Only one of which I really liked... and this is it... and your first view of my husband to be... if you haven't already seen him, his name is Nick.

Other than that I have been working on a poster for first night St. J, and starting work on my senior thesis project. If anyone knows of some cool dilapidated buildings in Vermont could you please leave suggestions in the comments below? I would really appreciate it considering that's the entirety of my project.

Gotta get back to that stuff for in the words of  Tigger TTFN  ( Ta Ta For Now)

What I did to My Blog

So, sorry to  say another homework assignment.
This one I have to tell how and why I changed my blog. So here it goes. First I chose my theme from an online database because I suck at HTML L chose it because I felt it fit in with my blogs theme of being a senior in college and also designing a wedding. Though the one thing I can't do with it is change the font, as much as I'd like to I can live with that. I also added to my about me and changed my profile picture to something a little more fitting for my blog.

Blog Critique

So intermittently I will post homework assignments for a class... and SURPRISE here is the first one.
This assignment was to critique a blog that we read often. Well the only blog that I really read is that of Karis Miller Williams. It it called my crazy life.
Here is the link: http://crazylifeofkaris.blogspot.com/2014/08/oh-conversations.html?spref=fb

I love reading this blog because Karis's posts are genuine. They come from her everyday life. Though I wish the posts were more often each one is filled with the hilarity of her kids, job and everything else that you can think of. That is what makes this blog so great.

Sorry about the homework but this is exactly why I'm surviving Senior year.
